The waters of Zanzibar are filled with a variety of boats, including the amazingly huge dhows and the small island hoppers. This is a photo taken from a gorgeous lunch spot, Archipelago, which serves the most delicious coconut bread.
Dad, I took this photo for you!

this pic is a real beauty and so artsy with the palm tree fronds in the foreground. this is clearly a "parking lot" for the islanders who scamper around fishing, etc. The Archipelago sounded fab and what a view from its porch. have you been eating alot of fresh fish? do you take water taxis very much? luv.mum
ReplyDeleteGretel, your pics are great, especially the boats, I want to frame that one. Kigali looks nice also as do you 3 girls. Thanks for keeping us informed, we run to the computer whenever we get home from an event. Tonight it was the new Tina Fey movie. It won't win any oscars but it had its funny moments. Last night we went to a recital of high school music students in Hailey and really enjoyed their music. Ta Ta for now. Love you to Mombassa and back, Dhadi
